How it All Started
From My Garden to Your Table!
Our Story
It was Spring 2019 and my family decided we wanted to have a lot plants around us and attempt to grow a garden from seed. Fast forward to Winter and China has a breakout. Covid had gone from an epidemic to a Pandemic and by Spring of 2020 In attempt to become radically self reliant I found a passion for learning how to become a farmer. I spent a lot of time reading up on plants and growing them since the spring of 2019 and the results were that I have decent green thumb.
My neighbor Doug Young aka Datil Doug had give us a couple datil pepper plants and so the pepper garden began to grow. For the next 4 years of growing seasons I had experienced an abundance of food coming from my garden and what started as a hobby became my passion, my escape, my home outside of my home. Nothing felt better than tending it. When life got stressful I would go there and work. I would love and care for myself through gardening.
As a single mother of two boys I realized I had to find a way to support my family that wouldn’t take another 160 hours a month from my time with them, something to keep us from struggling so hard to save and so my journey of taking my bounty from the garden and turning into the most delicious hot sauce ever had begun.
April of 2025 I established Miss Nicki’s Hot Sauce Co. Since April I have created three hot sauces. My first Is Minorcan Maiden made with home grown Datil Peppers and passion fruit, an all around super flavorful sauce that starts off sweet and then kicks up the heat! My “Go To” sauce for everything you eat! My second hot sauce was created in honor of my youngest son and I named it Logan’s Lagoon, a wild blend of blueberries and habanero peppers. Literally the perfect breakfast hot sauce that pairs so nicely with a stack of bacon, any breakfast sandwich or toasted cream cheese bagel, pancakes, or waffles. The third sauce I have made is called Tutti Frutti, this is a spiced pineapple habanero hot sauce. If you’re looking for more heat and less sweet this is the one for you!
